Flight to Santiago de Cuba. Welcome at the airport by our professional guide, transfer and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2: Santiago de Cuba visit
Visit of the main monuments of the most Caribbean city in Cuba, where the colonial palaces and streets climb on the hill facing the bay. In the afternoon, promenade in the old town and visit of the ancient fortress Castillo Del Morro which protected the city against the pirates attacks.
Dinner on your count.

Day 3: Natural park La Mensura: Sierra del Cristal – Water Fall El Guayabo.
After travelling among banana plantations and sugar cane fields we start gaining height into the biggest pine tree forest in Cuba. An old road leads us into some charming bungalows from where we start walking to explore the natural park. In the rainy season, possibilities of taking a shower in the water fall.

Day 4: National Park Humboldt - Playa Maguana - Rio Toa
Road to the National Park Alejandro de Humboldt. Declared world inheritage by UNESCO, with around 70% of endemic flora, it concentrates the most varied vegetation in the Caribbean. During a promenade by boat to see the mangrove in Taco bay, we might have the chance to see a manati. Then we get back on the road to make another halt in the lovely beach of Maguana before arriving to our shelter, a cozy farm located by the river Toa not far from Baracoa.

Day 5: Baracoa: Delta of river Toa – Trekking in a tropical forest
From the farm we take a boat to the delta of the river, little promenade on the virgin beach then back to the farm for a light meal before taking a little truck and heading into the Sierra.
Walking among cocoa plantations and coconut trees along Duaba River and surrounding the highest mountain in Baracoa El Yunque on top of which we will climb next day. Swimming on the natural pools in the Sierra.

Day 6: Trek in a tropical forest- climbing of El Yunque - Baracoa
Beautiful trek through a tropical forest, the most exuberant in Cuba, leading us to the summit of El Yunque.
This sacred mountain dominates the surrounding jungle and offers an extraordinary view from up there. Transfer to Baracoa and accommodation in a cozy hotel in the center of town, visit of the first villa founded in Cuba and possibility of dancing in one of the cafes.
In case of rainy weather the climbing to the mountain El Yunque will not be possible in that case another trek will be proposed.Climbing: up to +500 meters
Day 7: Baracoa - Guantanamo - Santiago
We take a winding road with wonderful views trough the mountain chain, and then we get into an arid region: coconut trees are replaced by cactus. We take our lunch in a small restaurant by a beach where we can swim for a while before regaining the road to head towards Guantanamo where we make a brief halt. 1 hr later we get to Santiago de Cuba, accommodation in hotel Libertad. Free time the rest of the day. Dinner on your count.

Day 8: Santiago - El Cobre – Water fall El Saltón
Visit of the Basilica of the patron saint in Cuba La Caridad del Cobre, located 20 km from Santiago. We continue to get to El Salton in the heart of the Sierra Maestra Mountains, after taking our lunch we go for a trek in the area, possibility of swimming in the natural pools we cross. A 30 mts water fall is located barely 20 mts from the bungalows. Night in this charming hotel.
During the dry season the water fall could be dried.Trek: 3 hrs
Day 9: P. N. de la Sierra Maestra: Trek to the Head Quarters of Fidel Castro
Transfer to the so called "Alto del Naranjo" from where we start walking up to the Comandancia de la Plata, the head quarters of Fidel Castro during the revolution in the 50´s. We will visit the old facilities among which a hospital a radio station, Fidel Castro's house.

Day 10: Santo Domingo - Bayamo - Camagüey
Departure to the city of Camagüey. On the road we stop at Bayamo the cradle of Cuban history. Camagüey is one of the most charming colonial cities in Cuba, we will visit the old center and the colonial squares.
In the evening we can enjoy the music alive in La Trova house for a small price.

Day 11: Camagüey - Sancti Spiritus - Trinidad
Departure to the city of Sancti Spiritus to visit the colonial center. Continuation to Trinidad. Accommodation in a private house. In the evening we can enjoy the concerts alive everywhere in the old town.

Day 12: Trinidad
We dedicate the day to discover this magnificent and unique city, real living museum where time seems to have stopped. You can wander in the typical streets of cobblestones, meeting the locals which are highly known for their hospitality. We will visit the handicraft market, the pottery house. Lunch will take place in a local private house. The family of the house where we stay will prepare a great grilled lobster dinner. In the evening music everywhere.

Day 13: Trinidad - Bay of Pigs – Natural Park Las Salinas
After breakfast we head west to the well known Bay of Pigs. Accommodation in a hotel by the beach of Playa Larga. Visit of the natural Park Las Salinas where a huge variety of birds will come to our path. Back to the hotel and free time to enjoy the beach.

Day 14: Playa Larga – Crocodile farm - Sierra Mil Cumbres
After breakfast we leave the hotel and visit a crocodile farm where we can observe the different stages of evolution of the Cuban rhombifer: We continue the road to Mil Cumbres in Sierra del Rosario. Accommodation in the rustic farm and promenade trough the fields of manioc, coffee, sweet potatoes, beans, etc…) visit of a local community.

Day 15: Trek in Sierra del Rosario
Trek in the mountains through the pine tree forest where many species of birds and orquids can be observed.
Climbing: 200 meters

Accommodation: Rustic farm.
Day 16: Mil Cumbres - Viñales
Road to Viñales and trek in this charming valley where the tobacco fields are dominated by the mogotes. We stop at a local farm to visit a drying house where the tobacco leaves are kept to dry, the farmer will show us the whole process of making a cigar. We stop at another farm for lunch. In the evening we visit the village to enjoy the Cuban music with a mojito.

Day 17: Trek in the valley. One of the most charming and beautiful landscapes in the island, declared world inheritage by UNESCO. The mogotes arise among the tobacco fields like elephants, making us think of the south of China. We climb up on top of a hillock (mogotes) After getting back to the valley we have lunch in a local farmer's house.
Trek: 4 to 5 hrs

Day 18: Cayo Jutías: white sandy beach and coral reef
Departure to the peninsula where cayo Jutia is. This is one of the most beautiful beaches of the area, Peace and relax are everywhere in this virgin place where no hotel has been built. Possibility of renting a boat for a reasonable price to get to the coral reef and admire the colorful fishes. Back to Viñales at the end of the day.

Day 19: Cigar factory in Pinar del Rio - Havana City
Departure to Havana. On the road we visit a cigar factory in Pinar del Rio. Accommodation in a hotel not far from the historical center of Havana, visit of the Revolution Square, the sea promenade (malecon) Havana is also world inheritage of mankind and certainly the most beautiful city in the whole American continent, Dinner on your count.

Day 20: Visit of Havana
We will walk in the old colonial squares, visiting the San Francisco de Asis, Cathedral and Arms squares, but also devealing the secrets of the history in a city that vibrates to the sound of salsa and old American cars… Dinner on your count.

Day 21: Havana – Back to your country
Free day in Havana to enjoy for the last time the charm of the city. Transfer to the airport.
